Online or mobile?

First of all, every new user has to decide how he wants to use the platform, because creating a Twitch account is one thing, using it later is another. Twitch is available both online in the browser of your choice for PC or laptop and as a mobile app for tablets and smartphones.

Registration

Registration is required to create a new Twitch account. After clicking on the "Register" or "Sign up" button, you must assign both a user name and a password for your new account. Entering your date of birth is only for checking the age limit, as registration and use of the platform is only permitted from the age of 13. So let's assume that's the case...

Verification

After entering your data, you will receive an SMS or e-mail with a six-digit code and a temporary password, depending on the information you have provided. This will verify and confirm your mobile phone number and email address. If your code has not been sent to you, there is no need to panic: simply go back one page, check the information again and then request the code again.

First Login

If the registration worked completely, you have created your new a Twitch account and can now log in every time with the user name and password you have chosen.

So, let's recap : You want to create a Twitch account? The second question is: browser or app? The difference is anyway only the position of the "Sign-Up" button. Then think very carefully about the information you provide when registering so that problems do not arise the first time you register after verification.

It's that easy and quick to create your own Twitch account and then start playing and streaming right away. Of course you can also download the app at any time and register there as usual, even if you have registered in the browser and vice versa.
